Quick Answer
We offer more than 30 seatbelt webbing colours for professional seatbelt re-webbing. Whether you are matching the original factory colour, restoring a classic vehicle, building a street car or customising your interior, we can replace worn or damaged webbing with your chosen colour where re-webbing is appropriate.
Our colours are available for cars, 4WDs, vans, utes, commercial vehicles, classic vehicles, show cars and race-prepared vehicles. Because stock changes from time to time, we’ll confirm availability before your repair is booked.
Choose your webbing with a clear price and process
A suitable pre-removed standard reweb starts at $165 per belt including GST. Drive-in removal and refitting, retractor work and unusual assemblies are quoted separately. If you post your belt to us, you pay inbound freight; return postage is $19 for belts sent back together in one order to one Australian address.
Colours can look different on a phone or monitor. Ask for a close-up of current stock or compare physical webbing at our Carrum Downs workshop before deciding. Tell us the vehicle, belt position, quantity and the shade you like; we will confirm availability and suitability after inspecting the assembly.

"Many customers are surprised by how much a seatbelt colour change can transform the appearance of a vehicle. Whether it is a classic restoration, a 4WD build, a drift car or simply replacing faded factory webbing, we discuss the options before any work is carried out. Before fitting new webbing, we inspect the retractor, hardware and operation of the complete assembly."
"Black is still by far our most requested colour, but we’ve seen a noticeable increase in customers choosing red, orange and royal blue over the past few years — particularly for 4WD builds, performance vehicles and classic restorations."
What We Commonly See
These are genuine situations we regularly encounter when customers contact us about coloured seatbelt webbing. Every vehicle is different, but these examples represent the most common questions and circumstances we see in our Carrum Downs workshop.
| What We Commonly See | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Customers who want a colour change while the belt is already being repaired | If the seatbelt needs re-webbing due to fraying, pet damage or a roadworthy failure, it is the ideal time to upgrade to a different colour at no extra cost for the webbing change. Many customers only realise this option exists once they contact us. |
| Faded factory webbing that no longer matches the interior | Over time, original webbing can fade significantly — particularly in vehicles with lighter interiors. Re-webbing in the original or a complementary colour restores the appearance of the complete assembly. |
| Classic and restoration vehicles needing period-correct colours | Many older vehicles were originally fitted with coloured webbing that is no longer available from the manufacturer. We can often match or closely replicate the original colour using our current stock. |
| 4WD and commercial vehicle owners wanting high-visibility webbing | Yellow and orange webbing is regularly requested for work vehicles, touring builds and safety applications where high-visibility restraints are preferred. |
"Coloured seatbelt re-webbing is not only about appearance. Where the assembly is suitable for repair, we fit new compliant webbing in your chosen colour — restoring both the look and the function of the complete assembly."
Before & After Coloured Seatbelt Re-Webbing
Original worn webbing compared with new coloured replacement webbing — completed at our Carrum Downs workshop.
Why Choose Coloured Seatbelt Webbing?
While many customers replace damaged black webbing with black, coloured seatbelts are increasingly popular across a wide range of builds and applications. We regularly re-web seatbelts for classic restorations, street cars, weekend cruisers, 4WD touring builds, show cars, drift cars, performance vehicles and commercial fleets wanting consistent branding. Common reasons include restoring faded factory colours, matching new upholstery, complementing custom interiors, adding contrast to black interiors and creating a unique appearance.

| Grey | Vehicles with light or charcoal interiors. A softer alternative to black that suits modern SUVs, European vehicles and commercial vans. |
| Silver | European interiors and modern vehicles. Pairs well with light grey or beige upholstery. |
| Red | Performance vehicles, street cars, show cars and builds where the interior is designed to make a statement. Popular on GR Yaris, WRX and modified Japanese vehicles. |
| Royal Blue | Classic Japanese performance vehicles, Subaru builds and restorations. Complements STI and WRX interiors particularly well. |
| Orange | 4WD touring builds, off-road vehicles and custom interiors. Pairs well with black trim and is increasingly popular on Ranger and Hilux builds. |
| Yellow | High-visibility applications, commercial vehicles, safety-focused builds and show cars where maximum visual impact is the goal. |
| Tan | Classic restorations and period-correct builds where the original vehicle was fitted with tan or beige webbing. Popular for Australian and British classics. |

Both options use the same professional re-webbing process and the same compliant webbing. The only difference is the colour you choose.

Popular Vehicles for Coloured Seatbelt Re-Webbing
We regularly carry out coloured seatbelt re-webbing for a wide range of vehicles including Ford Ranger, Ford Transit, Toyota HiAce, Toyota LandCruiser, Toyota Prado, Toyota Hilux, Nissan Patrol, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, classic and vintage vehicles, and custom or modified vehicles. If your vehicle is not listed, contact us — we work on all makes and models.
A customer posted us a set of front seatbelts from a classic Australian vehicle undergoing a full interior restoration. The original webbing was heavily faded and had begun to fray at the edges. The customer wanted to retain the period-correct appearance and asked whether we could match the original tan colour.
After inspecting both assemblies and confirming the retractors and hardware were in suitable condition, we re-webbed both belts in the closest available colour from our current stock. The completed assemblies were returned the following business day, securely packaged.
Colour re-webbing jobs like this are a good example of why it is worth contacting us before assuming a colour match is not possible — in many cases we can get very close to the original.
